A Monumental Japanese Early Meiji Taisho Period Bronze Urn, the elaborate multi-section exhibition piece with large high-relief dragon 'handles' to either side of the ovoid body with two shaped reserves of a maiden riding on a dragon or peacock and hen amid cherries, the tall waisted drum-form pedestal bracketed by six lunging dragons and supported by the up-raised arms of six Oni seated on a large stand with six cabriole legs attached to a circular base centered by a dragon emerging from waves with traces of red pigment. Circa: 1870
