A Very Fine French Empire 19th Century Napoleon III Gildwood Carved Figural Console Table with Matching Mirror, the "D" shaped top console raised by a pair of sitting winged sphinxes with notched corners over a conforming frieze centered by a pierced carved Satyr's mask with foliate swags above a mirrored trefoil backboard centered by a flowering urn adorned by chimera, raised on a shaped base, fitted with a Verde d'alps marble top. The figural mirror flanked by a pair of sitting winged sphinxes, with carved scrolls, garlands and crowned with a pierced carved Satyr's mask with foliate swags and accanthus, flanked by a pair of floral urns. All gilding is 24ct leaf. Circa: Paris, 1870
