Description:
A Very Fine 19th Century Berlin (K.P.M.) Porcelain Rectangular Plaque Titled "Amor, Den Pfeil Schleifend" Impressed monogram and sceptre mark and "H", Finely painted after a work by Anton Raphael Mengs (1728-1779 Rome) with a bust-length portrait of Cupid honing his arrows on a whetstone within a giltwood frame.
The present plaque is based on the painting located at the Gemäldegalerie, Dresden (gal. no. P.177).
