Description:

A Fine Quality French 19th/20th Century Dark-Green Patinated Bronze Figure of "The Wounded Gaul" (Also known as The Dying Gaul) a copy of the well known orginal Greek work circa 270 B.C. now exhibited at the Capitoline Museum in Rome. The Galatians/Galli/Gauls were in their origin a part of the great Celtic migration. The Celts who settled in Galatia came through Thrace under the leadership of Leotarios and Leonnorios Circa: Paris, 1900.
