Description:

A Fine and Palatial French 19th Century Louis XV Style Gilt Wood Carved Figural Mirror and Jardinière in Suite. The mirror surmounted by a flower-filled and female mask flanked by a pair of Putti, each playing musical instruments, over an egg and dart molded frame with scrolled and acanthus corners centered by suspended and swaged wreath garlands with a center drop. The jardinière intricately carved with scrolling foliage, masks and flowers, flanged to one side by a superbly carved figure of a nude winged maiden all raised on four short cabriolet scrolled legs. Circa: Paris, 1880.
